Local residents deserve to represent their own interests in their communities. Losing the ability to make those decisions for
Themselves takes away any opportunity to enhance the communities we live in and love. And just so it’s known, diversity of race is welcome in each community in Connecticut so stop playing the race card.

This is yet another example of Hartford expecting Fairfield County to carry the state...again. Right now the Stamford area is a hot market, one of the few rays of sunshine in an otherwise dismal state financial environment. Putting extra weight on the lower western part of the county and state not only is choking the goose that used to lay the golden add, it is sending him to the hospital. Tolls on interstate highways? State property tax? We already have a state income tax (not one when I moved here), and personal property taxes on cars and boats (did Connecticut invent overtaxation?). Here is a better idea, put down the pen that spends the money way beyond what we can carry. It's bad enough Washington is totally out of control, do we need to include close to home government as well?

To all you people whining about fairness, you do realize our military murders random people in the third world to keep the US economy buzzing and prop-up your asset values?
It’s all blood money. Think hard why the elite treat you with such contempt. They know it’s true.

I am strongly opposed to this measure. It will force many of our citizens to "vote with their feet" and depart CT for less onerous jurisdictions.

This is an unfair tax on the elderly and those who have lived in houses long term that have increased in value.

This bill is so very unfair to everyone who has worked so hard to own a nice home. If it passes, it will ruin the property values in the entire state. The economy is suffering enough with the pandemic. Please, please do not let this bill pass. It will hurt every citizen of CT.

Opposed central planning coming from Hartford. It only encourages people to leave the State.
