SAVE POTH! Against the Passing of the Proposed Wild Animal Ordinance

They are not an animal rescue -- they are breeding more and selling them to the unsuspecting public. Most of the animals they sell will likely end up in shelters or need to be rescued -- these are the sad facts. Look up the US Humane Societies stand on wolf-dogs...

POTH is in a private residential area -- it has no business permit to operate there and its animals are constantly escaping? How would you feel if they were your next door neighbors?

George- this is being documented and reported. There is not 60+ houses adjacent from us. As everyone can see in the picture you posted on your website of where our property is located. We are friends with most all our neighbors and all our neighbors are 5-10+ acres away from each other. We are not in a tight knit houses sandwich next to each other area. And your right, its not a few disgruntled people it is one. You. Your harassment and slander is being documented and submitted.

We have no convictions from the USDA our broken any laws or our animals would have been confiscated. 97 pages of violations/ complaints from you is not proven violations. Also, we where falsely accused of a criminal one and was not charged due to false hear say. Please get your facts correct and stop this slander.

I would like for you to show me proof of our animals contently escaping. Just because you call and say you think you saw something does not mean it is ours. POTH has been a part of our community my entire life, I have been to the facilities a couple of times throughout the years and the animals there are always so happy and well cared for.

Please allow the Predators of the Heart continue, they are doing a wonderful job caring for these rescued animals!

I have known this family and animals for a long time. Never have I seen any type of aggresion come from any one of their animals.

I've met the people and the animals which are all well cared for and secure.

I have visited the Predators of the Heart grounds and find it well organized and maintained with happy animals. This organization should certainly be grandfather claused.

Dylan -- you don't live next to these animals, we do! The animals are left unattended most of the time and are constantly escaping, what would you do if your kids couldn't safely play outside?

This is not a few disgruntled people -- this is 60+ adjacent homeowners who are tired of their rights being trampled on by one errant business who bills itself as Washington's Largest Travelling Wildlife Show...

POTH has 97 pages of violations & citations (including criminal ones) in Anacortes alone, to say nothing of their violations under the USDA and WDFW (ex -- breeding cougars). How many more offenses would you like?

Unfortunately if you read the facts it is clear that this is a business that has flaunted even the existing rules -- their activities resulted in the rules being changed in Anacortes. Dumping dead animals in the garbage for example -- read the police report!

Read the police reports and the eye-witness reports from the neighbors who see these animals lose on a regular basis - tell the animal control officer who recently collected one of their animals that no one is in danger!

There is certainly no research going on and the ends do not justify the means when it comes to education.

What POTH is doing is teaching young people that it is okay to exploit animals and is furthering the exotic animal trade here in this country (which is second only to the illicit drug trade).

POTH is an unlicensed business operating in a residential area - the animals are constantly escaping and they are putting the 60+ homes in his immediate area at risk. POTH is also teaching a whole generation of people that it is okay to own and exploit exotic animals, and in doing so POTH has received numerous CRIMINAL CITATIONS in the process!
