Our ancestors erected this cross to honor those who fought for our freedom. Please do not remove the cross. We should continue to take care of it! One of my grandfathers gave the land for the first church in Prince Georges County. He also built a house in Bladensburg. Our family has 400 years of history there. Please preserve the history that makes our country great!

Why must the voice of the few outweigh the voice of the many? Those who try to erase history are bound to repeat it. If the memorial offends you don't drive by it. There are other ways to get around.

Please do not remove this historical marker. The money used to do that could be used for much more worthy issues in the community.

Leave that cross alone. It's been there for years and has only bought happiness to that town. Quit trying to get rid of Christianity and God. You people are being led by Satan himself.

The name "Tayman" is on this monument. My husband passed away before we found out if there is a direct relation to the hero named. What message are we giving our children that every monument depicting HISTORY of our beautiful country are to be destroyed at the behest of a very noisy and SPOILED minority. Please...leave our Peace Cross alone!
