This monument is a tribute to heroes, who gave their lives for our freedoms. It was here long before the traffic patterns built up and if people don’t want to see it, there are alternative routes to take for where they want to go. If the government does not want to use tax money to keep it up, sell/donate to the American Legion or other veterans groups and they will gladly take it over. If we let this monument be taken down, the next thing to be protested will be gravestones and statues from cemeteries. Which by the way, you can also see at Fort Lincoln cemetery from the road while driving. The voices and opinions of the many, not a few, should be the answer to this complaint without any more wasting peoples time and money . This is not unconstitutional or offensive in anyway. It’s i’m memorial tribute to some of our heroes.

The primary effect is to honor the dead and not to endorse religion. For 90 years, no one felt that this monument "excessively entangled the government in religion. The hyper-sensitive liberals of today will eventually be offended by everything if we don't stop them now.

This is a WAR memorial honoring 49 men who gave their lives for this country. Don't want to spend public funds on it? FINE, a private foundation will do it. Set up a GoFundMe. The liberal, atheist 4th circuit does not get to dictate intent of the cross or presume it is evangelizing anything. They also do not get to dishonor our service men on account of a handful of peoples' "visual inconvenience".

I'm offended that Peace Cross is being in danger of coming down by a few that feel offended only after moving to the area!

This is what "our" history is all about. History is our Past, Present, and our Future. We need to preserve our past history. The great citizens of our country gave their lives so we can have what we have today.

The Peace Cross is not a violation of the Constitution. Here is the law enshrined in the Bill of Rights: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
