i participate in theatre at Lincoln high school. Theatre has been a huge part of my life. It has given me confidence and helped me to decide what I want in my future. EVERYONE deserves to be apart of a theatre program it's essential for some people. Before theatre I had no friends, I was making bad decisions, and I was depressed with family problems. The minute I walked onto the stage I knew I had to make it a part of my future. All kids should have the option to express themselves through theatre! It is helpful for all professions that people can go into and provides a very stable way of getting scholarships for college! Keep the stage alive!

Are you insane? "An excess"? Students need a diverse curriculum, that isn't just full of testing and math that they may never use. Stop belittling the arts and keep drama at North.

I feel that Threater Arts is like a sport and a competition and that it shouldn't be taken out of high school kids four year experience at North High School. It's also another way to meet and gain skills that will be needed and used in everyday life.

This drama department and program allowed me to have a voice and express myself while I attended North High School. It made a big impact on me while in high school. It still has an impact on me now. I believe that Mr. Mark Rixner has done wonderful work at North and this program deserves to live on for years and years to come.

North High school needs the theater program more than they realize. By slashing funding, they are slashing the hopes and dreams of ALL the students, not just the ones involved in the program. Save NHS theater!
