Please help tell KISD that our two biggest investments in life, our children and our homes MATTER! Stop the re-zoning of our valuable property from an Exemplary elementary school like Lone Star Elementary (10) to an Academically Acceptable school like Friendship Elementary (6). If you think this doesn't affect you, because you don't have elementary aged school children, please, THINK AGAIN.

The first thing savvy homebuyers research before even considering a home purchase is the school. In Heritage we enjoy homes that FLY off the market, usually with multiple offers from the first DAY. Homes selling (for MUCH cheaper) across the street, zoned for Friendship Elementary, are sitting on the market for 315+, days with no sale.

Your property values will suffer. The potential to sell your home will suffer. Our children's education will suffer. THIS NEIGHBORHOOD WILL BE NEGATIVELY EFFECTED IN A HOST OF WAYS. Please, support our community and STOP THIS PROPOSED REZONING.

Sign to help tell the Heritage HOA that we are willing to help them STOP THIS and protect the community that we ALL love! Attend the HOA meeting at the Heritage HOA clubhouse January 4th, 2015 @ 7:30 PM. Start here, start NOW and SIGN. Talk to your friends and neighbors and get them to SIGN! Tell our elected HOA Board of Directors that we want ACTION!

I set the "goal" at 3100 signatures because we have roughly 3100 homes in Heritage that will potentially be negatively impacted should this proposed rezoning actually take place! We ARE tied together by the excellent reputation of Heritage and our property values WILL rise and fall TOGETHER as I'm sure they always have! So... 3100 potentially impacted homeowners.. I want EVERY SINGLE ONE to know about this and have an opportunity to have their voices heard! It may seem like a lofty goal but we have been "live" for roughly 48 hours and have almost 300 signatures as I write this. We have 14 days.. seems totally attainable to me!

In my humble opinion the timing of the announcement of the homes slated for rezoning could not have been a coincidence. I believe it was a calculated move made during THE BUSIEST HOLIDAY of the year in an attempt to garner minimum notice by busy homeowners from those at risk! In other words, they were hoping we wouldn't notice them annihilating our property values while we unwrap presents and stare at Yule logs! SHOW THEM WE NOTICED!!

We DO need help with this as well! Although we are working diligently to cover our neighborhood and it is LARGE and with the holidays it's difficult.
