How is this in anyway a sensible decision, it's always busy, it serves a large community and it makes money!!

This is crazy. It is always busy! I use this place for business postage and it'd mean travelling to another town to get all my orders done.

The Post Office serves an understated but vital community function as a convenient centre for all the occasional but essential administrative things that people in the local area need: driving licenses, travel money, sending postcards overseas--the PO serves a central function for that. While the PO might need to consider branching out to other businesses or sharing the space in order to sustain business it is unthinkable that a concentrated and diverse community like Headingley should have to do without one just because it's not as profitable.

The fact that this post office is ALWAYS busy proves that it is a service in demand in this area. I realise that it is an area referred to as a student area but please do not forget the countless pensioners, families and businesses who rely on the post office on a daily basis, particularly pensioners. To lose this would be a travesty. Also worth pointing out that the staff there are fantastic, friendly and hard working. Please reconsider this action.

This is a post office where I live & it's always really busy & a very important part of the Headingley community & shopping centre. Many people rely on this post office & it's also very convenient if you're shopping in Headingley & you need a post office. I think closing the PO will affect businesses in Headingley as they will lost the custom of the people who need the PO & may pop in to other shops while they're in the area.

I have never been inside the Headingley PO when there has not been a queue. It is very busy most of the time, and where are we all supposed to go if it closes??
