Save CHAD Tennis

Please support the ongoing work of CHAD. My children participated in this program for several years and it changed their lives.

I support CHAD Tennis and the Mel Stillman Community Tennis Center. These programs are a necessity for the Children of this Community. Especially year round bubble access. The bubble was definitely an asset to this Community. It allowed the Children from the surrounding Schools the space and opportunity for exercise and recreation that is literally not available at their Schools.

CHAD Tennis has made an impact on fighting drug abuse in the community and across the city. Over the years it has touch every neighborhood in the City, from Hyde Park to East Boston. It should be used as a model for how to deliver services to our young people. CHAD Tennis's record stands for itself. It is 30 years old. The original kids are now in their Mid to late 40s, most of whom are successful and have wonderful families. Others still struggle or are no longer with us. But they all loved the game when no one expected them to love it, and that which the game taught them proved to be invaluable to them.

The Stillman Center is a big boost for the community and most importantly, for the kids

It is a disgrace for the City to delay this lease any longer. The Stillman courts are an asset to the community on many levels, and Charlestown deserves to have this facility, particularly whereby we are not asking the City for any money.

When we lived in Boston, my son gained a lot of value from the CHAD tennis program. I support its continued contributions to the Charlestown neighborhood.

I fully support CHAD tennis and the Stillman Tennis center. It is a fantastic program for all tennis player especially at risk youth in Charlestown. I fully support the program and the rebuilding of the Stillman bubble for year round programming.

Chad Tennis is more than a want - it’s a need for the members of community - especially the school children who benefit from all the programs. Thank you for your consideration.

Please do not let this amazing organization fall away! We all need and want CHAD Tennis here in Charlestown!

This is a terrifically valuable community asset that requires very little of the city to maintain. For the city to disallow, through intent or sheer neglect, the continuation of this program is shameful and represents lack of vision, lack of skill, or both.

We need to keep tennis in a Charlestown!

This is a great community resource, not only for Charlestown but also for the North End, West End, etc. It is an affordable facility for families to learn and play tennis.

The community needs CHAD!

CHAD is indispensable to our community.

Chad tennis is a wonderful program. At no cost to the city a long term lease is a no brainer!

The little recreational space we have in Charlestown should be protected. CHAD tennis is a great organization worthy of this lease.
