Salem Willows Park is a beautiful respite-by-the-sea. There is no need to add alcohol to the area. The City of Salem has already stipulated this fact by the erection of a historic marker which states, in part, "A ban on the sale of alcohol at the Willows also contributed to the park's early success." It goes on to say, "...the ban kept out the 'rough element' that created problems in other seaside resorts.
