This man appears to be a concerned teacher just trying to inform students of possible side effects/outcomes of these vaccines. I'm sure the health unit neglects to disclose this information. What we should be asking ourselves is why are these vaccines necessary and do they really protect children or are they just increasing the pharmaceutical industries profits.

Vaccines do come with risks, and I too was apart of a school system that did not give sufficient information to me or my mother prior to. They just showed up at school. Student should be raised to ask questions. They often don't know that they can and should because they don't want to get in trouble. Medically speaking ALL risks should be discussed with any person prior to retaining their concent. If the nurse or school isn't doing their informed concent, thank god for a teacher that tells their students to ask questions.
He should not be punished because he stood up for the students right to choose. And above all, yes, a manufacturer's listed side effect can be death; he didn't lie to the one child he told that to. The nurse should have listed the possible side effects prior. Really vaccinations should be between the child, the parents and their families trusted medical professional.
Do not punish this teacher for giving fair knowledge and telling students they have the right to informed concent.
After all, if something did happen from small to severe side effect, it's not like the nurse, the school, the school board or even the vaccine manufacturer would take responsibility.

this teacher should be punished for spreading false information, ad trying to scare impressionable students. Also his aggressive manner was nothing short of bullying. The College of teachers has this right. People should stop making excuses for such behaviour.

Kudos to him for having the stones to actually educate these students as to what was to be injected so blindly into their bodies !!! The nurses themselves should have done so as they're legally supposed to before vaccinating ANYONE. ... nah let's just line them up like cattle ... smh

The school board needs to wake up and recognize that Mr Sullivan was doing his job as a teacher. He was teaching his students to learn all sides to a topic before taking a side. Many people just accept what others tell them without making an informed decision. Become informed. If vaccines were 100% safe then the inserts provided with them wouldn't have a list of side effects. All medicines have side effects. There are not too many people in this world who are anti-vaccines they just want safer vaccines. Stop being negligent on your health. Become informed and then you can make your choice and support your reasons. This is what Mr Sullivan was trying to articulate. This is not a pro vaccine vs anti vaccine issue. This punishment needs to be rescinded.

Mr. Sullivan I believe has the right to Freedom of Speech. He was only giving the students information on the flu shot they were going to be given. I do not believe that the nurses lived up to the full responsibility of their position. They did not info students of possible side effects of vaccination. Is it not the job of nurses to info students or any patient of consequences of flu injection?
