We as a society are in a very bad place when reading a package insert so there is informed consent becomes a criminal act.

I think that he was doing his job by letting the children know that you could die...the possible is there. At the end of the day that teacher was being honest. So much for honesty is the best policy!!

This actually saddens my heart.. It's time we allow staff to own their own words. Everything they say should not be deemed wrong just because if they state it the "board." States it. This is why I hate school but love education. Because school is a system based on hierarchy and finances. Education is knowledge. It's teachers like this who allow us to expand our knowledge and think outside the box. I don't know this teacher. But I know many like him who thrive to teach. If he's guilty for tell students to look past what "they" tell us, then yes he's guilty. I'm proud. Rock on.

Sullivan is best science teacher at wdhs. Sully was simply telling student the things in vaccines that licenced doctors/nurses dont. Sully shouldnt be punished for this let alone get fired or suspended.

Mr.Sully is a great teacher all he was doing was looking out for his students for nothin bad happened to them because he would be very upset if something bad happened to them because he's a great teacher and he help kids out and he should not be trouble for telling his students on what will happen so please don't take his job away he's a great teacher and he doesn't deserve this not one bit..

Timothy is to be commended for helping students think critically about what they put into their bodies. It's so important for teens to be responsible for their health choices and how can they be responsible if they don't know potential consequences?

So hard to believe Mr. Sullivan's right (free country) to warn students of possible side effects was seen as wrong and could end up costing him possible, serious consequences. Even TV ads for medicines give warnings of potential side effects. How ridiculous to think students don't have the right to be informed on all aspects. It's called 'getting educated.'

A teacher teaching children giving them information about something in thier body should not be repremrnted. Health unit should give everyone that information ahead of time. My love one got a flu shot at high school 20 years ago and ended up getting transverse milites, his body attacked his spinal cord and he's forever effected by this now. We live in Canada stop taking away our freedom of choice onto our own bodies.
