This is fascism, folks. Critical thinking in the face of evidence of harm ought to be applauded, not criminalized. Whether you agree with his point of view or not, we must not sit by while our rights to make decisions about what goes into our bodies is taken away, while our right to question scientific dogma is taken away, while our right to think critically and question government agencies is taken away. This verdict against an intelligent man is terrifyingly wrong.

This teacher actually cares about his students and should be able to voice his opinion. Oh i forgot you want teachers and kids to conform and be mindless and never have a difference of opinion on anything. This is a farce and should be reversed.

Insanity that a science teacher can't ask if the students are informed about what the package insert says!

Please reverse this heavy handed treatment of Mr Sullivan. He deserves better treatment, for sure.

I think he should be given a raise for bringing to light the very real side effects of a "medical drug" to students via real science.

You are allowed to speak out about choices

Why is he being punished for reading what was on the package?

The law clearly states that informed consent is required. When the medical staff failed, this teacher stepped in to provide some of the missing information. Schools are for education, not to capitalize on performing medical procedures away from parents and family physicians. This community is very fortunate to have a man with such integrity and genuine care for his students.

He did not commit a crime nor did he give false information. He should not lose his job and he should not be suspended.

So tired of seeing people treated wrong for researching and learning. There's two sides to vaccines

Telling the truth is not a crime.

I'm by no means anti-vax but there should be a proper revision to companies that make them and the industry itself so they stop putting too many conservatives on vaccines so they last longer just so they can profit more. Good luck teacher

I strongly suggest that the OCT takes caution in its decision in order to avoid any future regrets/embarrassment. "a line needs to be drawn when personal opinions affect his ability to perform his job as a teacher.” Language like this is unprofessional, unfair to the millions of Canadians and plenty more around the world with a valid position against today's vaccines. Mr. Cyril's questions and stance is far from an 'extreme' or 'damaging' opinion. It is a highly valid and popular stance of any critical, caring scientist with good morals, and considering that even the Trump administration is backing a new vaccine safety commission is clear hard evidence that Mr. Cyril's stance on vaccines is far from just an 'opinion;' it is a very real and honorable criticism with so much revelation that you and Norfolk would be damned not only that you had such a uniquely special teacher, but that you suppressed his qualifications because of his superiority to your ignorance! How many students changed their mind after his fact sharing, anyway? Zero? Draw a little line for leaving his class unattended, for humiliating the nurses instead of just educating the students, at the right time..... but for your own integrity, don't be drawing any lines on the basis of "wide scientific body of evidence" (T Star article) because you will likely be deeply regretting it - especially if you're not willing to put your money where your mouth is to respond to the challenge/ to prove that vaccines are safer than they are dangerous, for individuals, and for the human race (see also, effects on innate immunity).

There is no way this man should lose his job for informing students of the risks involved taking vaccines. He is a caring teacher that had their best interests in mind.
