Reinstate Mr Yates as Headteacher at Tottington High School

Mr Yates has completely transformed this school for the better. Disappointing actions taken by the trust with no communication to parents until they were forced to refute rumours

He was amazing headteacher when he was heywood community school he was so very supportive to my son and daughter and always there for any one

The fact pupils are supporting the return of Mr Yates shows how much of a positive impact he has had on the school and how much all the kids love him. Do the right thing and reinstate him before end of term!

In his time at the school he’s had been a great head teacher and made the school a better place, I was there a few weeks ago for my son’s leavers assembly which was a great morning thanks to his great personality, he definitely makes the schools a better place

This is an absolute disgrace! Tottington was a school of negativity and instability before he arrived. He changed all that! His enthusiasm and positivity was beyond words. He cared for each pupil individually and nothing was ever too much trouble. He always made time for everyone. My daughters dad passed away in November 2024 just as she had started in Year 11 and the support he gave to both her and myself was beyond words - he was unreal. I am appalled at the disrespect someone as special as Mr Yates has been shown by the school and if a small number of his supposed friends and colleagues have conspired against him they should be ashamed of themselves! I'm glad my daughter has now left as the thought of her being at Tottington without him there is not even worth thinking about!!!

He is such a gem of a person we need him

Mr Yates has done nothing but bring positivity to the school and local community. The changes he's has made in the past 12 months has made the school one the local community can be proud of. It would be an absolute disgrace if The Shaw Trust let him go. They have failed Tottington High over the last few years so should be doing everything possible to get Mr Yates back in school ASAP!
