Wonderful man! We just want him back, the school has rapidly gone downhill already since he hasn't been there. We've had many different issues in the last few months that aren't being addressed, if Mr Yates was there, this would all be sorted out by now.

Taught my daughter at Heywood Community School. An amazing headteacher who had such a positive impact at the school. If you respect the children they respect you in which they then want to learn.

My daughter attends another school managed by the Shaw Trust but seeing the comments from THS parents, the majority of which are in support of Mr Yates, I feel comfortable signing the position in support of him.

I have a grandchildren going
Into year 7 & a grandchild that left 2025 , Mr Yates needs to return to school , he made such a impression on year 11 s last year & should be allowed to continue to turn Tottington High around

Although not involved with the school, I have seen many videos with Mr Yates involvement with the children at Tottington High School, it's obvious that the children adore him and that he is so invested in their happiness/development/well being, not too many Mr Yates around these days, he is obviously such an assett to the school. Bring him back, and many more like him, we need teachers like him for our present children and our grandchildren, set an example and do the right thing.

As a former Head Boy at Tottington School , I’m extremely concerned about the behaviour of the school trust , it is destabilising for all concerned.

David Yates cares more about the children, their feelings, their happiness in school & their success than any other teacher I have known or worked with. He may not be a box ticker or a ‘yes’ man - But, if you want your child to be happy & succeed. He is definitely the man.
