Reinstate Mr Yates as Headteacher at Tottington High School

former litherland high student here, i had david yates as my head teacher from 2020-2024 and he is genuinely one of the kindest and funniest people i have ever met and im so lucky i had the luxury of meeting such a wonderful soul such as himself, i used to come to school early to help him do jobs with my 2 other friends that he only allowed us to do, he always showed his gratitude and thanks when we would help him out and always gave us rewards etc. he does not deserve to be suspended because of his ADHD and in my honest opinion, it is straight up discrimination towards him because everyone at litherland high loved him and the school never felt the same after he left, the school he works at now really need to open their eyes and realise the absolute gem of a human being they’ve employed and allow him to come back because they honestly don’t deserve him and suspending him is just idiotic.

As a parent who has met Mr Yates and spoke to him at length on more than one occasion, he is the sole reason I am considering Totty as my first option, my niece also attends the school and they can’t speak highly enough of Mr Yates and the energy and pupil first attitude of the school, you should be giving him an award not a suspension.

All schools need a Mr Yates!

Please please and please bring Mr Yates back I would really appreciate it he is the best we have had and the best we would ever have please bring him back

I have heard nothing but positive things about this head teacher from both parents and children and hope the right people come to there senses and put him back where he belongs in charge of his school

I have known David for over 20 years the most honest hard working family man I have ever known. He throws his all into every project, his enthusiasm is infectious.

Bring back Mr Yates.

Listen to the parent's they know best for there own kid's

This man should be reinstated. To have a school flourish under his leadership is something that the school, all teachers and school governors should be proud of.

A person shouldn't be penalised for an additional need. We should all be treated equally shouldn't we?

Mr Yates supported me through a very tough time at Middleton technology, and even funded with other staff for me to go to disney land in Paris, without him I dont think I would have survived I cant thank him enough.

Don’t let a good teacher like Mr Yates go… schools need more like him
