Citizens worked so hard just a few years ago to tell our County Commissioners in Manatee County to NOT destroy the critical wildlife habitat, especially the mangroves & Sarasota Bay. Nothing has changed in our passion for why we moved to this area: we LOVE nature, especially along the coast and in Sarasota Bay. PLEASE do NOT give in to the developer's pressures to claim mitigation plans offsetting destruction of this priceless area.

Letting money for a few drive our environment will surely eliminate our environment for all. Wake up.

Preserve our natural resources for future generations. Stop eating out of the hands of the developers.

This is the last fully functioning mangrove and seagrass ecosystem on Sarasota Bay. It supports the finest fishing grounds and largest, most diverse shorebird population on the bay. Aqua by the Bay violates most county rules protecting this place. Commissioners, please protect this local treasure.

Longbar Pointe is the last natural shoreline along Sarasota Bay. This 2 mile shoreline has bald eagles, manatees, healthy seagrass, a breeding area for fish and so much other valuable habitat. By signing on to this petition I request our development rules enforced and deny this Aqua development.
