Longbar Pointe - Save the Last Great Place on Sarasota Bay

Do not develop on this pristine mangrove. Say no to ruining wetlands. Developers care nothing about wildlife and what makes Florida beautiful.

He's back with the name of the development changed to protect the greedy and circumvent the end of his 3 year battle with Manatee county. Don't sink to his level! Refuse to approve this.

Don't take away our last mangrove in Sarasota.

The Manatee County community has given their opinion on this already. We are against this destruction of our environment. Medallion and Longbar Pointe investors must be told once again that the answer is no. I live next to this property and I do not want the habitat destroyed for the wildlife.

Stop this destruction.

This would definitely adversely affect the "kitchen" as Cortez fisherman have described this area for years. So sad for the Cortezians fishing industry. Don't let this destruction happen.

And to think Beriff wanted to be Florida's Senator! He's only in it for the money and could care less about our environment.

These coastlines provide habitat for many amazing organisms. Although that should be reason alone not to destroy coastlines, don't forget their value to the economy! Almost all popular sportfish rely on these habitats at some point during their lifetime, and fisheries in the United States are worth $200 billion each year! A big chunk of that originates in Florida and helps to drive tourism here as well.

I beg you to not let this happen.

This coastline needs to be left alone!

If there's anything Manatee County doesn't need, it's another housing development. Also, we have lost enough of our pristine shoreline to housing. Please think about our county in other ways than how much revenue you can bring in with another housing development.

We need to put nature before more developement. They should not be allowed to touch the mangroves in any way or form.

Protect Long Bar Pointe from the proposed invasion.

We need this habitat preserved very badly, or we will cease to have the fish and birds that make our area an attraction to visit and to live!

No building! Keep our waterfront land protected from over building.

I am against this 150%. Our sea life, wildlife deserve preservation!!

We should be going out of our way to protect every last inch of wetland and mangrove shoreline in Florida. This project should be denied !!
