I understand that the owner of this property unfortunately has a right to develop it, but they should not be allowed to develop it in such a way that it threatens the environment. Will the seawall disrupt the natural water flow and kill the mangroves? If so, that's a sneaky way to get around the rules about destroying mangroves. Why would they be allowed to build a building that is four times taller than the legal limit. Do our fire departments have ladder trucks that reach that high? If not and the developer is allowed to build they should be assessed the charge for the needed firefighting equipment--not the taxpayers who oppose this ridiculous plan! What is being done to accommodate the extra traffic this will generate?
Please consider the environment and the effect this development will have on our already overcrowded streets.

Sarasota is already an overgrown place
with plenty of resort. Time to stop the development. Let mother nature have it. Sarasota gets enough tourism--why be greedy?

As a 14 year resident of Bradenton Beach there is nothing about this proposed development that is practical to me. It is appalling at a minimum. The developers just keep on trying to serve it up until it gets approved. If that happens, the beginning of the end of the "kitchen of Sarasota Bay" will start. When I was President of the BOD of our co-op, we had to get a permit which took 30 days and pay $500.00 fee just to trim mangroves and that was a very defined process with limitations. I see that power and control provides greedy developers with a path to completely destroy acres of mangroves. How does that make sense?

This plan will not preserve or improve the seagrasses. Save our beautiful shoreline and bay.

This is a beautiful peacefull area that I've enjoyed and it would be a shame to change it in any way.

We cannot allow this to happen! If there are laws in place to prevent this kind of destructive planning why are they not enforced? Who is being paid off??

Beautiful Sarasota bay with its birds and fish is the best part of Manasota. We MUST look after and defend its quality.

It's time to preserve our mangroves for future generations and preservation of species survival. Enough of Carlos Beruff's efforts to expand on top of this Florida treasure.

Over development is ruining Manatee and Sarasota county with total disregard for environmental protections, quality of life and congestion. Developers seek only profiteering as Florida legislators and commissioners ignore regulations and grant variances to deep pockets with total disregard to constituents who want to preserve quality of life and shoreline for future generations!

This is supremely important to the overall health and well-being of not only Sarasota Bay, but the community as a whole. Please consider the long-term ramifications. Thanks you.
