Tell Winnipeg City Council to STOP the Widening and Grade Separation(Marion/Archibald), and save Happyland Park!

Some questions: was an underpass/overpass ever considered on Fermor? There is more space here to accommodate such a project. I understand that traffic is horrible on Marion when there is a train but if traffic were detoured either to Regent or to Fermor (with an underpass or overpass) when a train was crossing then traffic issues would be relieved. To further address the issues at Arhcibald and Marion, have turning lights on Marion ever been considered? I feel that every time I make a left turn off of Marion and onto Archibald I am playing a game of Russian roulette.

I love the pool, park and the neighbourhood . Stop considering this as an option !

Sep 14, 2015   CAN YOU SAY POLLUTION!!! Noise, dust, traffic. This is a terrible idea!! Many other options should be available to us. We recently purchased in the area because it is quiet, safe, family oriented and it's charming. I grew up playing in the park, swimming in the pool and still to this day walk my dog in that park on a daily basis. This is NOT again NOT the place to insert such an infrastructure!! As another stated: STOP destroying established neighborhood, businesses and private properties. STOP spending millions of City taxpayers dollars to improve/make faster connection for people living out of City limits who don't pay taxes. When will our councillor decide to try and help us fight this??

This park is utilized everyday by people in the neighbourhood and from people from other neighbourhoods . My daughter bikes there because it's safe.

The widening of Archibald and Marion is not in the best interest of the community. Instead of attracting people to move into the area this will have people leaving. From what I understand this goes against what the City of Winnipeg is trying to achieve. That is people moving away from the established neighborhoods to neighborhoods on the outskirts of the city. The widening of the intersection will create more traffic on Marion and will probably create traffic problems at the Norwood Bridge and Marion. Happyland Park is a very important green space for our children. Rather than spending million of dollars on the widening look at investing in safe bike paths for the community.

in addition, I strongly disagree with the physical separation between residents and the other side of the streets and following the obsolete solution to traffic congestion; commuting to suburbs should not be made easier since it encourages urban sprawl

Leave the area alone us ppl living here are ok with it. Already took park on Holden so our 5-10 year olds have to walk from lagimodiere and Marion to Archibald and Marion to play now and the city has no money to give us a park after taking it so leave the rapid transit and other plans for somewhere else

This plan needs more study as to the costs and benefits/drawbacks to the community

This project is over reaching and excessive, and will not benefit the area residents. This would have been self evident, had the public actually been consulted.

This project needs public consultation, rather that putting 50 year old decisions in place and asking the residents which of the bad plans they prefer.
