Tell Winnipeg City Council to STOP the Widening and Grade Separation(Marion/Archibald), and save Happyland Park!

Please save this amazing recreational resource in our community

The current Marion widening project is a short sighted, single-occupant focused plan that does not consider the Our Winnipeg or the needs of residents in the Dufresne community. This plan should be stopped.

Please leave Happyland Park and all the quaint homes and businesses as they are,...we don't want to lose the things that make it why we love it!

This park has been a mainstay for children of the area for years. Nothing should jeopardize its continued use. Look for another solution to the problem of widening Marion.

This plan is completely oversized and will ruin St. Boniface, reduce the city's tax base by expropriating families & businesses, and destroy a greenspace park and swimming pool. It is ridiculous to put a freeway in a residential area. What I find most outrageous is that this is solely to reduce traffic wait times for people that live in Sage Creek. Putting a freeway on a one way street that dead ends at Lagimodiere is ridiculous. Back in the 1970's the city was warned not to build east of the perimeter which was completely disregarded. An over or underpass as in the original plan is more sensible. It would be better to extend Dugald road since there are lights at Lagimodiere. Please stop this project!

A simple train overpass will do the job to adjust / free the traffic flow. What you are planning is OVERKILL and OVERSPENDING. My future (assets and retirement potential) and my family home will be effected. This will sink me financially; the housing market and my buying has changed since buying this home. Please don't mess with my future!!!

Keep our neighborhood alive, we don't need suburbia style monster which will kill the nice community.

Grew up in the area as kids the park was a wonderful place to play as kids. It is still used today. leave well enough alone.

This will be an eye sore just like Rothesay and Douglas road bridge...

This park is used a lot. Why take a beautiful green space away.

My son and I used to live on St. Catherine street and I took him there every day when he was little. He now plays Frisbee golf there. It would be a terrible shame to lose it.

Happyland green space is a rare commodity in the urban landscape. It is a thriving park that is utilized not only by the immediate neighborhood, but by many others who travel to take advantage of it's natural beauty, the Seine River, playground, pool and Frisbee-golf course. Too many green spaces in Winnipeg have fallen to the concrete hammer. Let's keep Happyland Park for future generations!

Don`t take away our Green Spaces! This is a space for families, friends and for schools!

Keep access open to residential areas, this will destroy my friends street.

There is supposed to be at least a fifteen foot buffer along any river bank - the opening of Evans could not possibly be done without destroying the bank of the Seine. This project is absolutely stupid and not at all fair to any of the residents in this very small neighbourhood. Pollution, destruction of important natural habitat, the loss of parkland and the increased traffic on Cusson due to the cement barrier that is to block all streets North....the list goes on!! Just don't do it - it is completely unnecessary and out of line!!!

STOP EATING UP OUR GREENSPACE! We used to be the greenest city in Canada - not any more. Lets not become a concrete city. We don't want to become the same as the others. We want to be green!

Save our green space. Stop the Archibald and Marion project. The current plan has to high a cost in regards to community and the residents that reside here. There has been little to no consultation with the residents. Please look at better options. For example a simple underpass or overpass to cross the train tracks. This would require little widening, yet allow traffic to have a continuous flow.

please don't. not only is it the only green bit in the area, my son played in there when he was a young child.

Please consider all the negative side of effects, like pollution, traffic, and things for businesses and private homes.

This is my favorite childhood park . Leave it alone !
