Demand Metal Detectors and Clear Backpacks in Harford County Public Schools to Ensure Student Safety

Why are there not armed officers in every school but there are in every bank?? Is money more important that kids?

I strongly advocate for the implementation of metal detectors and clear backpack policies in Harford County schools. The recent surge in school shootings is alarming and unacceptable. As a parent of five children, I prioritize their safety and well-being above all else. While some may argue that metal detectors create a prison-like atmosphere, I firmly believe that our schools should be sanctuaries for learning, not vulnerable targets for violence. By taking proactive measures, we can ensure that our children return home safely to their families at the end of each day.

We need to make these schools safe again, we should not have to send our kids to school with fear in our hearts. Y’all have to do better!!!
