Demand Metal Detectors and Clear Backpacks in Harford County Public Schools to Ensure Student Safety

I have 2 granddaughters in HCPS, one just entered high school. I don't want them or I or their parents to be worried about their safety. The only concern should be their education.

NO effort or price is to lo great to protect our children.

Sad that it has came to this . But very much needed.

We need this ASAP!! I am sorry but not allowing bags into athletic events is not enough, it is a joke!!! And parents need to be held accountable!! I am so tired of parents turning a blind eye,This kid has been involved in 10 cases the police were investigating, he should not have been on the streets age is no longer an excuse!!!,Play adult games get adult consequences!!!

I have 2 grandsons in Harford County schools. I agree with the use of Metal detectors and clear back packs to ensure the safety of my grandsons and all the children attending the schools.

My daughter teaches at Edgewood. As a parent, the current situation is unacceptable. The killing was totally preventable. Requests for metal detectors has been made for a while.
