I am a student at Joppatowne highschool and was right across the hall from where the incident took place today. HCPS DO BETTER AT KEEPING US SAFE, BEING WORRIED ABOUT OUR BAGS AND PHONES ISNT WHATS IMPORTANT, ITS OUR SAFETY.

being right next to the shooting and hearing the gunshots next to me was very traumatic and it’s so sad how schools focus more on the wrong things when something like this happened and no one was able to catch it before it happened

A kid should not have to lose his life for someone to finally open there eyes this is very much needed.

We need these in this time because people are getting killed and harmed it isn’t a good look for the community I am a student at a school that just got shot up I was in the building and even tho I was calm cool ok my pears were very stressed out and it does not feel good to see people hurt suffer over a lose that could have been prevented by just one metal box that should be In every school

We need this in all schools cause people don’t care about gun laws that not going to stop them

All counties in Maryland should adopt this policy as well! All children should feel safe at school. We walk thru metal Detectors in courthouses and airports, why not schools. Growing up in Baltimore city, my high school had both of these protective measures in place in the nineties.
