My child goes to Joppatowne High and she’s devastated and traumatized. This madness must stop.

This situation is horrible. And the fact this has to be done is ridiculous. We go to school to learn, not to hide in fear, or worry about if today is our last day. I'm all for metal detectors and clear bags. It creates peace of mind for Students, Parents, as well as Teachers and loved ones. I hope for more people to sign this petition and Harford County will comply with these measures and overlook the fact that there is a "stima" against Metal Detectors for our safety. Safety. Comes. First. And I sign this petition to show my name so you know who I am.

this safety systems need to change and it needs to change now. It shouldn’t be a kid losing his life to make things change.. they need to stop worrying about things that don’t matter and start worrying about the things that DO MATTER. this is terrible.

I attended PG county public high school in the late 90’s. I went through metal detectors every single day and I felt safer. Our kids deserve safety.

I’m a HCPS retiree and just having to buzz people in does not insure a safe person entering.
