Demand Metal Detectors and Clear Backpacks in Harford County Public Schools to Ensure Student Safety

I highly agree! Let's bring in the see-through backpacks, the metal detectors, and everything else they need to make sure that our kids are safe.

I am in agreement for having Metal Detectors at all School entrances because School shootings have become too common and senseless,and no one seems to be able to implement any other solutions.

I don't live in Harford county but I think this is a must in ALL SCHOOLS

It is sad that it has come to this, but as a grandmother to 13 grands...it scares me that they have to even practice drills at all, not to even mention kindergarten. We need to do better and ALL need to set examples with kindness involved. This should not even be a concern but now that it is....MAKE the laws stronger and hold all accountable.

I don't understand why this wasn't already a thing!! How many more students need to be killed or hurt before this is finally done?

Please help our children feel safe during their precious years at a place where they feel safe and unarmed

THIS does not cost much! Even metal detector wands are VERY cheap. Clear backpacks cost you nothing and every parent will get one. Preventatives need to be in place. On more than one occasion students have brought weapons into schools in their back packs! This should NEVER be possible to happen. Schools must be a safe place otherwise attendance will continue to dwindle.
