Demand Metal Detectors and Clear Backpacks in Harford County Public Schools to Ensure Student Safety

Keep schools safe

I have 3 grandchildren in Harford County schools and friends who have kids in school and I worry about their safety every day Metal detectors will help stop so much of The violence, It is the best option to stopping weapons being brought to school. We need these in our school.

Should be necessary at HarCo school sports events as well.

Im all for it. Kids need to feel safe.

I think with the world we are living in and so much youth violence going on we need to protect our children. This should have never happened ever not in a million years especially not in a school nor the streets. Throw hands shake afterwards then go on about ur day. I’d love to see metal detectors and clear bags for all county schools.

My grandson attends the school and was in a classroom next to the bathroom when the shooting occurred. He heard the shot. I want to do all I can to make sure he is never in such a situation again,

I agree I think every school in harford/ maryland should be using clear bookbags for the kids and metal detectors. But parents also need to step it up and teach there kids guns are not toys and maybe take a interest in what they r doing, who they are hanging around and even looking threw there elctronics.
