Request for Extension of Uniform Transition Period to 31 December 2027

Dear Mr Gordon,

We, the undersigned parents and guardians of students at St Pius V Primary School, respectfully request that the overlap period between the current school uniform and the new uniform be extended until 31 December 2027, allowing for a 3 year transition period, as has been allowed by many other schools when introducing a new uniform.

Parents are facing significant challenges sourcing the new uniforms from the school's sole supplier, Lowes, including stock shortages, long lead times, and limited availability of sizes. This is creating financial strain and stress for families who still have serviceable existing uniforms that could be used longer, while also promoting sustainability by reducing waste. Extending the transition period would alleviate these supply issues, ensure no student is disadvantaged, and allow equitable access for all.

We believe this extension upholds the school's values of inclusivity and community support. We kindly ask for your consideration and a prompt response to parents.

Thank you for your understanding.

Yours faithfully,
The parents and guardians of St Pius V, Banyo
