Our librarian is not only dedicated to the books at SPS, she is dedicated to our children. Give our children an opportunity to have familiar face in the library, where they are comfortable to ask question, feel safe, get book recommendations, etc... It is more than just books and reading at stake here, having the library open and staffed with a familiar face who knows the children individually during lunch and recess hours allows SPS to provide a safe haven for socially awkward, bullied, outcast, shy, depressed, anxious, special needs children. Please keep our librarian, she is a priceless asset to our student and whole school community.

Having a librarian is essential to our children’s educational experience at Strawberry Point. As a parent volunteer, I’ve seen the impact Megan has had on inspiring the kids’ creativity, guiding them towards books that encourage their interest learning about all aspects of life, and fostering literacy and technical skills. To remove such an invaluable person in our children’s school is shortsighted and robs them of a well rounded educational experience.

I am incredibly moved by the passion, compassion, commitment and motivation of our parent community to make this school district as great as it should be and as great as it is touted to be.
