Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is one of the best Star Trek shows of the modern period. Hell, I'd go as far as saying it is one of the best Star Trek shows ever but that is my personal opinion.
Star Trek Discovery was unceremoniously cancelled. Prodigy was messed around with. Then Lower Decks, another successful show was cancelled and now this.
Season 3 is due to air from mid-July. Season 4 is currently filming. Season 5 will be the final season but will only have 6 episodes. This is insulting to every fan and cast and crew member who has invested time in such a great show.
I can understand ending after 5 seasons as 5 seasons can equate to a 5 Year Mission but come on Paramount, please give everyone the 10 episodes they deserve.

This is the best ST we’ve had, and follows the beloved episodic series instead of dark edgy ST.
I’m ok with five seasons. But season 5 deserves to go out with 10 episodes, just like the 4 seasons before it! Make it so!!!!!
Come in Paramount. Star Trek Strange New Worlds is one of you most acclaimed, watched and loved shows. It makes no financial sense to cancel. Plus it fully deserves at least 5 full 10 episode seasons and movies. Soo much a better investment than Section 31. Let the new owners make the call. And they too need to listen to the fans - who after all pushed for this show in the first place. Hit it!
It would be a shame not to give the crew and cast this chance to end with a full season. Please, if we don't get more seasons than at least that...
Six episodes is a joke! At least give them a *full* season with 10 episodes. Or make those 6 ones longer
I love Star Trek and believe a real season on 20 episodes are in order. When did 8 episodes become a season? Also, watching Star Trek my whole life has been an amazing experience and I would love to see it continued.
