Well said. Spending time outdoors will also reduce risk of transmission, so consider increasing recess & outdoor type lessons. And, this situation presents the perfect opportunity to teach kids about health in general. However, in the haste to be "infection-free", please remember that excessive exposure to chemicals such as bleach and quaternary amines (as found in Clorox/other wipes) have long-term negative effects on the respiratory/hormonal health of children. Do not allow children to handle such chemicals/products and assure a sufficient time period has passed after cleaning & before letting kids use the spaces/objects, if you must clean with them at all! Alcohol is still the best and fastest disinfectant. While washing with plain soap is the best body cleaning method.

Unless there is real, in person school, everyone should officially enroll in homeschooling. There is no point otherwise.

Parents should be given the right to have their children go back to school full time or to keep homeschooling. Forcing everyone to do part time school and part time homeschool isn’t fair. Many parents are unable to work from home. If you have a group of 10 children in a class part time and the parents have to find a daycare for the other part of the time- they will be around more children, spreading germs to many others outside of the class and bringing it back to the pod of 10. We are not mitigating the risk- we are spreading it.
