All the real data shows extremely low risk to kids and otherwise healthy adults, please do not over react to the perpetuation of fear. Instead, please let Our kids have their childhood back. There is online learning/ home schooling available for those who want that option. Give us the option for normal schooling so we can decide whats right for our children.

There is plenty of evidence worldwide now that points to the ability of schools to reopen safely without being ridiculous. Families who do NOT want to send their children to school should have that option but the rest of us realize this isn’t working.

Please let our school children of every age not be part of these numbers in San Mateo County that are taking place from nursing homes.

The plan is too heavy handed and is totally unnecessary. Are we to raise a generation of people who are afraid of life and one another?

As a teacher in this district I fully support this petition. I am concerned for the psychological impact on young children. Not to mention the impact on our special needs population. I would like to also note that the people making these decisions will never have to set foot on a school campus to witness their guidelines in action. Lastly, I don’t believe it is my job as an educator to monitor social distancing and mask wearing. I am in support of fully reopening schools without these measures.

I think it’s important to keep children engaged in their learning. As well as allow patents to continue to work full-time.

I am very concerned how part time school can be effective. I am very concerned about entering Kindergarten especially, and the psychological stress on this age group. I have no problem with hand washing, masks, and limiting very large group gatherings. But splitting classrooms and schedules just continues to shoulder the burden on working parents. Unacceptable solution.
