Bezpieczeństwo żywnościowe jest bardzo ważne. Polska powinna dbać o różnorodną produkcję roślinną i o gospodarstwa rolne w Polsce.

I support the Rzeszów Declaration as an important appeal for respect toward traditional farming and local communities. I hope that its message will lead to concrete actions supporting the development of small farms.
Popieram Rzeszowską Deklarację jako ważny apel o poszanowanie tradycyjnego rolnictwa i lokalnych wspólnot.
Mam nadzieję, że jej przesłanie pomoże w tworzeniu warunków sprzyjających rozwojowi małych gospodarstw.

Small farming is extremely important for the conservation of biodiversity, and our future as well.

This manifesto serves a pressing need to draw attention to and re-evaluate the important role that multifunctional farming can play in the modern world. Multifunctional farms deliver multiple economic, ecological, social and cultural services, and more likely than not incidentally and deliberately internalize more costs of agricultural production, thus modeling sustainable forms of agriculture. Most poignantly, multifunctional farms are in some ways the extension into the modern world of traditional farming systems, providing the opportunity to connect people to the land, and in so doing, to each other. This potential can be appreciated as a means of reconciling these two kinds of cultural severance, a task perhaps more than any that is urgently needed to ground modern civilization. Multifunctional farming, from traditional to modern forms, requires interdependence among ecological and social (and other) parts of complex systems. "Practicing interdependence" supports coherent, bonded cultures and coherent, bonded ecosystems. I appreciate the work and insight that has gone into this manifesto and sign it with hope and intention.

The landscape and its associated qualities are the result of centuries of interaction between humans and nature. Depending on the type of area, this interplay has given rise to a great diversity of landscapes across Europe. However, this dynamic relationship and regional diversity are increasingly being disrupted by financial incentives that focus solely on efficiency and productivity. These forces often fail to account for the intrinsic characteristics of the landscape, its cultural values, and the needs of its users.
By adopting a more bottom-up approach—one that starts from the capacities of the land, nature, and people—there are greater opportunities to sustain and further develop a healthy living environment for both humans and nature. It would therefore be valuable if such regionally driven initiatives were actively supported and facilitated by policymakers.

The number of traditional livestock farmers and herders in Poland appears to be declining, which will undoubtedly have negative consequences for biocultural diversity and the sustainability of local livelihoods. I fully support the manifesto presented.

We need to listen to SLOW knowledge! Many of our farming traditions are still relevant and can help build a better future.
