I am asking you as a father of 2 to please proclaim Rockingham County VA as a 2nd amendment sanctuary! I personally own firearms to protect my family and under the proposed laws may be considered a felon if I don’t turn them in but also will lose the right to vote as well as the right to protect my family...

I own no guns, however, due to the government’s possibility of taking away this right, I am looking to purchase at least 1 and possibly more. Poor decisions by our government. ROCKINGHAM county needs to make the right decision.

I served in the US Army and believe that all Americans should have the right to protect ourselves from criminals, foreign and domestic. It’s not a gun problem, people will always find a way to commit murder or other crimes if they really want to.
