We already can’t find parking at Costco. Imagine adding 600 people and 500 vehicles across the street.
When train passes, Ela gets blocked, so we all depend on using Rand rd. which is already extremely busy. People from Palatine don’t come to LZ Costco anymore because of the traffic and parking. Instead they go to Mt. prospect one. That’s where their tax money goes too. Imagine adding cross walks on Rand rd. and all the new vehicles.
Their traffic analysis is false. Their attorney claims on GENERATING (?) 39 kids from 600 people. Fair housing act is prohibiting discrimination based on family status, race, age… oh but wait, they know that. They had lawsuits before because of not respecting federal laws and FHA.
Average house cost in LZ is 480k, which is above 3000 per month on mortgage, with today’s rates. Renting an apartment in an excellent school district seems as a great alternative for any single parent or parents who are not ready for house purchase. Let’s make it clear. Maybe their other locations, in middle of nowhere are good for train riders and, as their representative claimed, people interested in pets more than children (?!) but, LAKE ZURICH IS FAMILY AND NATURE FRIENDLY AREA and we would love to keep it that way.
