I visited the south of Ireland in 1980 and saw Rory live a few years later at the metropol theatre in Berlin/Germany. Since that time I drink Guinness an no more German beer :-) Finally I vote for the Cork Rory Gallagher Airport and for the Dublin Phil Lynnot Airport. MM

I discovered Rory late in life and at that point my musical life changed. I remember that my older sister had a copy of "Tattoo" when I was younger, wish that I had given it a spin back then :( As a citizen of the USA what Ireland calls it's airports is really not my business but I think that a person as special as Rory was is a shining example that the whole country can be proud of and an Airport rename would be a fitting tribute.

Saw Rory at the Victoria Hall, Hanley, in the '70s; unforgetable.

I'm french from Marseille and Rory IS one of the most important HUMAN artist I keep in my heart ( I was born in 1959 ) on the same stage as Jimi or John Bonham : when i think to him i feel a breath of tenderness for Irish people ( i played guitar too and i wrote an instrumental song when the new of his death hurted me badly : " l'homme de Cork " ( the man from Cork ) thank you Rory .....
