I've played rock guitar for so many years and played with a number of well known people, including being in a support band to one on the world's most iconic bands. Never played with Rory and sadly never will ... but for my money to best and most entertaing musicians and guitarists of all time. When even the great late Jimi Hendrix was asked 'what's it like to be the best guitarist in the world?'. .. his reply was 'Dunno, you need to ask Rory Gallagher'. Has there ever been a higher accolade than that! Rory lives in our hearts and in our minds and his music will forever stand the test of time. Great tribute too from Joe Bonamassa, the only guitarist to play Rory's music on his iconic strat after reaching agreement with Rory's brother, Donal. Bless you Rory ... we all miss you and your talent ...
