This artist changed my life. I saw him play, unexpectedly, when i was in Dublin in 1988. Since then, my interest in Ireland has piqued. Thanks to Rory. He deserves this honour.

Started listening to Rory in about 75 with Against the Grain, saw him in 78 at the Park West in Chicago, great show, so much energy. Lost touch for decades, I'm back listening now and with the internet, the videos out there makes me realize how great he was. Like John Lennon, I will always remember where I was when I heard of his passing, when I heard it I couldnt

From Belgium: Even if he is regretfully not with us anymore, Rory still teaches me how to play today. Inspiration and example for all Musicians ! He was a fabulous Musician,Guitar player,performer and person.
