About time Rory was recognised as the huge influence he was and fitting it should be in his own city.

Just awaiting the 40th anniversary edition of Irish Tour '74. This would be a fitting way to pay tribute to a true artist.

Rory was and is a true Corkonian icon. Renaming the airport would be a fantastic tribute, much like the honour given by Belfast city council to George Best.

This petition is not only an honor to the great musician, but also a voice that says that art, not politics, touches and unites the world. I wish all airports renamed for different artists.

Liverpool named their airport after a favourite son, so it would be fitting for Cork to do the same.
