'Rory Gallagher Airport' would make a fitting tribute to a man that was much more than a great musician-Helping to Unite Irish people during the worst troubles by performing in Belfast when few dared , is just one example of his humility.

It's unusual for a world class musician to be a true gent as well but that's what the Great Man was. He was a proud Munsterman and Irishman and this act is long overdue.

Rory Gallagher is one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He has had a phenomenal influence on millions around the world. It is possible that the people involved in making the decision about renaming Cork Airport don't know the magnitude of his greatness. We need to let them know and understand. Cork deserves this and more importantly Rory Gallagher deserves this.

Aged 16. I saw him with taste at the Isle of Wight, and followed him ever since. My Dad said I'd grow upand that my musical tastes would mature. They have indeed, but no one else, or any other type of music made my Number 1!

Cork doesn't do enough to embrace Rory's legacy and his connection with Cork. First thing people should be made aware of when they walk off a plane in Cork is Rory!
