I do not believe that Alan Aker is performing the job he was elected to do anymore (representing Meade County).

Elected officials are supposed to be held in a higher regard. Your county should be ashamed and embarrassed by Mr. Aker's misuse of his public office Facebook page to spew such hatred. The BOCC should force his resignation.

Totally not cool. As a person, ok...say whatever you want. But as a public official....totally inappropriate. People need to separate personal religious beliefs with that of the Constitution of the U S of A.

Mr. Aker has every right to express his opinion as a citizen--say, on a personal Facebook page. But it is not okay that he expressed his venom and bizarre predictions on a FB page PROMINENTLY identifying him as "Meade County Commissioner Alan Aker"--a page on which he discusses what's going on in the county (e.g., "Two different Meade county projects are among the 16 finalists for federal grants to improve access to federal lands").

Bigotry has no place in government affairs. Nor does highly public and unapologetic disdain for the highest court in the land.

I am not a resident of South Dakota or Meade County any longer, but I support this cause.
