Online Petition – Immediate Removal of Lori Ackerman from Any Employment or Contract Positions within Prophet River First Nation

As concerned members of Prophet River First Nation, we are calling for the immediate removal of Lori Ackerman from any and all employment, advisory, consulting, or contract positions within our Nation, including her role as Chief Administrative Officer and any related leadership or administrative capacities.

We believe that leadership within Prophet River First Nation must consistently reflect the values, priorities, and best interests of our members. Those entrusted with positions of authority are expected to demonstrate transparency, accountability, respect for community voices, and a clear commitment to the long-term wellbeing of our Nation. When these standards are not upheld, it is our collective responsibility to speak out and seek change that protects the integrity and future of our community.

Our concerns stem from a belief that Lori Ackerman’s actions, decisions, and leadership approach do not align with the needs, expectations, and best interests of Prophet River First Nation members. We believe that her continued involvement in any official capacity undermines trust within the community and hinders progress toward unity, stability, and responsible governance.

This petition represents our shared desire to ensure that all employment and contract positions within Prophet River First Nation are filled by individuals who are committed to:

• Acting transparently and ethically in all matters
• Prioritizing the voices and concerns of community members
• Prioritizing employment & job training for community members
• Upholding the cultural values and governance principles of our Nation
• Demonstrating accountability in decision-making
• Working collaboratively to strengthen community trust and cohesion

We respectfully call upon Chief and Council to take immediate action to remove Lori Ackerman from all current and future employment or contractual roles within Prophet River First Nation. We further request that any transition of responsibilities be handled in a manner that protects organizational stability while restoring confidence in leadership and administration.
