Reinstate the No. 5 Direct Morning Bus to Oakwood Park, Maidstone

My children always used to get the No5 direct to Oakwood from Linton Corner, as the 89 service from our village never gets them to school on time. They now get the 59 from Linton Corner which takes them to Oakwood Park but it is always overcrowded and they always have to stand until the MGGS children get off in London Road. I would also like to see an extra 89 service pick up after school outside Oakwood Park before the scheduled time of 15.44 as my daughter has to wait from 14.50 when her school finishes until 15.44 for the bus to arrive.

The students spend a considerable part of their day commuting and only having to catch one bus in the morning would really help.

There are large number of children who get this bus and have to change to get to school in Oakwood Park. Please reinstate the direct bus.

An hour and a half journey to school, that takes 30 minutes in a car, is not acceptable. Leaving children hanging around in town is not acceptable either. Some children at the start of this route are out of the home longer than their working parents, lets make it a little bit easier for them please.

These children have a long day as it is without having the hassle to worry about changing in Maidstone. The No.5 needs to be reinstated to Oakwood.

My nephew simply has an ordeal to get to and from school. They are already working hard in their lessons -let's not make them work hard travelling too.

It would make the kids life easier also for the parents

Please stop messing about with the service. Young students have enough stress with changing schools without having the added stress of changing buses.

Arriva is failing to provide a service and putting young children in dangerous situation.

My daughter currently catches the number 5 to Maidstone , she is a Mggs student . The bus as it currently stands is always so late that they have to walk every day . There are no seats by the time she gets on in the morning . And to full on the way home , finishing school at 3:30 arriving home at 5:20 is unexceptionable!

It is unfair that an 11 year old should have to wait in a town centre for sometimes three buses before there is a space to get on a public bus just to get to school on time!

mu nephew has just started his school year doing this route and like so many others doing the exact same route would benefit massively from there being a direct route!!

This is now vital for pupils from Staplehurst , who are having a terrible time changing buses in Town, as the Tonbridge Rd services are all full. It is a stressful time.
