I would like to say that Burns high school has a long-standing tradition in our state for excellence. There is no reason for any kind of action against this Tradition which has been in our state since the beginning of the school! It saddens me that at every chance only in moments like this certain groups who had no problem with the mascot being a rebel all of these years would now take advantage of the situation.

If you find the word "Rebel" offensive, then I would just like to let you know that you are the downfall of this country with all of your hurt feelings and "Politically Correct" bullshit.

It was good enough for my Daddy and good enough for me (class of 93) and I want my boy (class of 2027) to be a proud rebel, too.

Byrnes is an amazing place for not only teachers and academics but an amazing place to grow yourself into fine young people who dare to against the odds and succeed in whatever the endeavor may be I was one of the only kids this past year to participate in marching band and football Byrnes high school made it possible for me to do that with all the other people telling me it is impossible Byrnes is an amazing place with wonderful people who do spectacular things and work with an extraordinary student body and community. The rebel name is something that has come to mean something that is definitely not racism but one of pride for the whole rebel community of Duncan Lyman reidville and Moore.
