Cardiff City Council need to implement traffic calming measures to help slow down the ever increasing speeding traffic on a village road. Significant housing development is taking place without the infrastructure in place to reduce the traffic on this road. Action is needed now to slow down traffic and to keep our children safe.

I am a resident of Radyr and daily witness cars breaking the speed limit on Heol Isaf. I fear soon someone will be badly injured or worse if a 20 mph speed limit is not implemented through Morganstown and Radyr all the way to Llantrisant Road.

I was being overtaken by a speeding motorcyclist doing at least 45mph on Sunday - and the number of times I have been beeped by speeding cars not wanting to slow down while trying to get onto a congested Heol Isaf from the side roads is frustrating. Cardiff Council should be encouraging active travel but it is not currently safe or pleasant to walk or cycle along Radyr's main road - too polluted, too much speeding traffic.

I live in Min Y Coed. It is a night mare cross Heol Isaf on foot as there no pedestrian crossing or pavement going to the village,or by car due to the the increased number of cars and their speed. The same apply on driving my car.

This speed limit needs to apply to other roads in Radyr especially Kings Road where cars regularly speed along as late for the trains in the morning

Traffic calming involving mini roundabouts at road junctions to allow residents to access Heol Isaf are essential

Traffic is horrendous and the speed limit is totally ignored. The road between Morgantown and Radar is obviously being used as a ‘Rat run’!

The speeds vehicles drive down Heol Isaf at is an accident waiting to happen. Plus there aren’t enough crossings especially for students attending Radyr high school. It’s unsafe.

Action now-before it is too.late.Does anyone want to see yet another local councillor on the welsh news showing sympathy for a distraught local family

Not a Radyr resident, but I often drive through the community and this proposal makes sense given the (increasing) traffic volume and the narrow road profile. Will need enforcement, but lower speed limit a good start.

The volume of traffic is making it difficult to join the road, and will just get worse. Needs to be made safe too

Speeding traffic through the village is not acceptable and places our children at a high risk of being involved in an RTA. Kill speed not our children!

20mph, simple -why wait for an accident to happen, followed by "lessons will be learned" speeches. Make it safer, why the delay.

Very supportive of this move - will be even more important when all the houses on llantrisant Road are built and thousands more will use Heol Isaf as a cut through !

Deterioration of the road surface is also an increasing hazard.
