You seriously want to do away with the banquet?! That was the best part of grad! It was a highlight and a big tradition of graduating highschool.

It's not fair that we are the guinea pigs for this new "cost affective idea" my family has been looking forward to my graduation just as much as I have and you are removing the family aspect of it.

There really should be a grad banquet. Changing it so there isnt is a terrible idea and it is ridiculous!

I am so disappointed & upset!!!! These kids have worked for 12 years for this day & they want to give them a prom. Come on!!! Akso as a parent I want to see my child be rewarded for her hard work & accomplishment. The excuses the school board used are flimsy.....even the kids were able to come up with solutions to the problems they stated!!!! Shame on the school board!

The banquet is a tradition that brings the entire graduating class together for the last time. While it may seem like a risk management issue due to underage drinking, getting rid of the entire program is not the solution. The precedent has been both a banquet and a dance, and eliminating this precedent so suddenly is very unfair to this year's graduates, and the graduates of the next three years.

Disappointing for sure. Lot of kids make it through high school so they can attend their graduation.. It is more than juatvthe cap and gown ceremony. Catholic Schools Division my gain a lot of kids!!

I think we should have it because every one I have been to I have seen some people drinking but I never seen anyone drunk. Plus it's super important to the graduate. And I'm pretty sure whoever is reading this had one? So what makes you think you can take ours from us?

This is just ridiculous. Every year has had a banquet & dance so why not this year. I feel this is very unfair for all of us who are graduating this year.

Being a grade 12 last year we had a lot taken away from us, but I think none of it really mattered because we still got to look forward to our banquet, it's the fun of planning and finding a dress. It's one last celebration with your class.
