we already pay hundreds of dollars a week for daycare and the fact that this is supposed to help the province?? This is ludacris! This will force people working to quit their jobs to stay home with their children. The families of New Brunswick will suffer because of this. I made a mistake electing you and I won't make that mistake again!

What is wrong with this government?Making cuts in all the wrong area's.I think some cuts should be made to politicians paycheques and maybe there could be a future for our children.....

with child care subsidies provided only to minimum income earners, how is any middle class family expected to get by with yet another hike in daycare costs??

Please do not do this!! We pay nearly 800$ a month for 1 child as it is , we cannot afford any higher! Plus these educators don't get paid nearly enough for what they do as it is. Don't make it worse on them!! Frig

please sign. I didnt go to school and work this hard to work for minumum wage! this isnt just hurting us but its going to hurt everyone! It needs to NOT go through!

hospital cuts and now our children are going suffer they need staff to take care of the children if you cut wage they will not want work with childern daycare sometime there more than home cause parent have to work to survive they teach our childminder read and write before go to school

My daughter is 7 years old and has been at her daycare since she was 1.If this happens and my daughter is cut from her daycare I will be forced to quit my job as I'm a shift worker at the Regional hospital and need the hours this daycare provides.It is an excellent daycare that has taught my daughter tons through preschool and are still teaching her as she ascends through school.Please don't let this hppen.It is going to devastate a lot of families and children.

You're making it hard for families to stay living in New Brunswick. Always cutting, raising the cost of living and doing nothing to help the middle class.

These cuts not only affect the owners and staff of daycares in New Brunswick, they affect the working parents in New Brunswick as well. If daycare owners are forced to raise rates, parents won't be able to afford to send their children to the facilities and therefore increasing the employment rate or decreasing the provinces population by forcing those families to other provinces. Some owners will be forced to close their doors, leaving 100s of families without child care and again increasing the unemployment rate and decreasing the population when those families flee to other provinces. The Harper government needs to step back and take a good look at what they are doing to this province with it's non-sense. Perhaps cuts to government salaries or cuts to unnecessary funding in other areas are the answer. Cuts to areas that cause more harm to the working people in this province is not the answer to its problems. It will only force and more and more families away when we should be focused on bringing them home.

As a non-parent, without a personal dog in this race, I can't help but still recognize this plan as having catastrophic effects, on our already dismal economy. Most Early Learning & Child Care centre operators are not "rolling in the dough" and also cannot afford these proposed cuts to funding. Families already stretched to the limit, cannot afford to pick up this tab. The proposed move, to save 2.4 million dollars is short sighted, and reckless of our government. The potential loss of employment for workers in the childcare industry, compiled by working families who may opt to terminate their own employment due to being unable to afford childcare, will not only result in decreased economic growth, but a loss in revenue for provincial government. The projected collateral damage from proposed cuts, could very well exceed the 2.4 million in savings. I fail to see this plan as economically viable.

my daycare informed me that they might be raising my rates because of this...thanks alot government for all the food you are taking from my babies mouth....you suck.
