All faculty await the conclusion of these negotiations so that we may all proceed with what we are here for, the advancement of education and research at UConn. It is perplexing that the organization we work so very hard to advance appears, from reports we have received, not to view faculty, especially long term in- residence faculty who carry the largest percentage of tea by responsibility, in the same light. We encourage the university to provide us with the same level of support we provide to our students and the university, and stop treating us as adversaries.
