Dear Markham Policy Management Group,
I advocate for ‘No’
I do so for the following reasons:
Canada is based on a set of reasonable and mutually agreed to laws. We, as citizens support these laws and more importantly the ethics behind the common provincial laws.
If immigrants wish to move to Canada, to Ontario - let them apply the way everyone else has historically. We will value their commitment to the local cultures and the rights and responsibilities of the tax paying residents that support these communities.
Please, let us not take on ‘popularly trending’ responsibilities by disadvantaging those of us who have worked to create and nurture the fabric of our communities.
