We are residents of Ridgefield and are opposed to commercial ventures being located in residential zones.

We need a new zoning board. People shouldn't have to hire lawyers to keep a residential neighborhood residential. That's not what they signed up for. Apt buildings are going in and no one is looking at height and depth of the buildings ? What happened at Ridgefield Supply ? That was not built to scale and they put a huge structure right up to the sidewalk....horrid.

This proposed B&B has no place in a family neighbourhood. Please protect our beautiful Ridgefield.

The B&B would have a very adverse effect on the character of our neighborhood.

Please let's protect our neighborhoods. People chose to invest in a residential area and it is not fair to try to convert a neighborhood to mixed commercial use. Let's all be good neighbors and do unto others as we would want to us.

The outrageous Peaceable St. "private club" decision of the Board tells me (and the rest of my family) that the Town leadership needs to be changed. How will they handle this B&B decision if they couldn't figure out the "private club" thing?

Don't quite see how a B&B in a very private Family neighborhood can be a positive addition.

This commercial business does not belong in a residential neighborhood.

This is not acceptable. You either re-zone commercial or you don't. Arbitrarily dropping commercial businesses on residential land should not be allowed.

Please like and support the Peaceable Neighbors FB page and come to the 9/19 meeting at ERMS to help us fight P & Z on a similar issue!

This proposal does not make sense for all of those involved. Not a god idea as as a business, not a god idea for our neighborhood and not a good idea for the town. Allowing this special permit will set a terrible precedent. .

No B&B in residential neighborhood like Circle/ Hobby Drive!

Approval of a variance to permit commercial enterprises in residential areas will open Pandora's box for other variances. Residential means residential. Do not approve B&B's in residential neighborhoods.

There is no viable reason to convert a residence to a commercial zone to accommodate a homeowner when it simply puts the neighborhood at risk and sets a bad precedent.

Commercial facilities should not be allowed in residential neighborhoods. This is not why I moved here.

Too much potential risk to the neighborhood associated with safety and value to allow this special permit. A very localized and defined residential community is no place for a commercial special permit. Does not make sense from a town planning perspective. It is better suited for a town's business district where multifamily use is typically allowed.

I strongly object to any commercial overnight facilities being permitted in family residential areas. Ridgefield has always prided itself on its commitment to families first and it's uniquely, family oriented neighborhoods, which is why many young families decide to live in our wonderful town . B and B's, as well as any rental facilities. are not appropriate in these neighborhoods. Please do not set a precedent by allowing people to rent out parts of their homes to strangers, in our family neighborhoods. It would have a serious impact, in many ways, on the families in those neighborhoods.

A neighborhood full of small children (that is not in town and on a Main Street) is NOT an appropriate place for transients. Putting us all at risk.
