That is a slap in the face for the rural kids and parents that support the city. Not to mention all the coaches that volunteer. And the dump is on rm land is it not.

Without rural Prince Albert residence, Prince Albert wouldn’t have any businesses. We are looking at going to Melfort to do our business, groceries, doctors, dentists, etc. They are affecting children’s lives that’s not okay with me

You are not seeing the bigger picture regarding the impact of rural children participating in PA. You will end up with less $ in the end if this proceeds. For example- who supplies Zamboni’s for rinks? Farm World Redhead etc. Who keeps them in business, Rural families!!!

As my tax dollars do not go to City of Prince Albert recreational facilities I am in favour of supporting these facilities at the same financial level city tax payers do. However, the amount that is going to be charged will far outweigh that amount a city resident will pay and am therefore not in favour of this move by the City.

Considering that we all drive into city to work and spend money in the city supporting everyone that’s paying taxes to the city we feel that as rural residents that we are already paying enough towards to city’s coffers. Go spend another $18 million on “the yard” instead of raping rural residents and children from participating in sports in the city. Maybe we should start taxing “city” residents using our rural roads

Rural families actively contribute their time and effort to city activities, volunteering countless hours. Yet, they find themselves facing additional financial burdens because those families live in the country? Why are we getting punished for wanting to live in the rural area?
Rural families significantly contribute by spending substantial amounts on groceries, stores, and gas in the city, to help keep stores open.
Imagine if the tables were turned – city families having to pay extra fees to use rural facilities during certain seasons... rural rinks because city rinks dont have ice yet, city hunters have to pay farmers for hunting on their land or rural families who bring their children in for city schools because they want them in a catholic school or want their kids to have a second language.. maybe we will get our kids going to the rural schools again and then those schools in the country who are already having a hard time staying open, will have more options/grants for funding because they are thriving with how many kids attend those rural schools and then the city schools will lose funding or have to combine 2..3.. classrooms together because there is cut backs on teachers for the amount of kids that are in that school. What about that avid golfer? City people pay an extra 50.00-150.00 per person per family to golf in the rural golf courses. These scenarios highlight the need for rural families to make a stand to these extra fees. Any which way you look at this, it doesnt make sense. Just like I said above... IMAGINE if it was the other way around... way to make a divide between our communities. We sure have a "SMART" Mayor in the city of Prince Albert.

My adult kids spend so much time and their own money coaching numerous sports teams in the city for free. They fully support the community clubs, as well as helping raise money. We all support the city in every way possible. Without the support of the rural people, the community clubs will struggle and possibly not exist. As well, without the rural kids, the costs for the city kids will have to increase. The numbers keep the costs of sports lower. The costs rise, kids quit the sports, eventually the sport dies out. Time to rethink this policy.

We are willing to pay a similar amount as the residents in Prince Albert, but to ask this much more is ridiculous.
We will likely be registering in other towns if it is not changed.
